Nissan damaged by plough in Ito Way, Gillingham

A car has been damaged by a plough which fell from the back of a tractor.

There is congestion around the scene of the incident at the top of Ito Way in Gillingham , around 2pm.

The damaged vehicle is a Nissan and it is understood nobody has been injured.

The accident happened at the junction with the A2 Sovereign Boulevard.

Witness Ellis Wolfe said: "I didn’t see it happen but we must have driven past very shortly after.

"It must have been really scary for the driver in the car.

"Thankfully it didn’t look like anyone had been hurt. The man who had been driving the tractor was trying to direct traffic but there was a long queue."

The incident has since been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
