The M2 Medway Bridge was brought to a standstill earlier this afternoon while police responded to reports that a man was on the bridge.

Police received reports of concern for the welfare of the man just after 12.30pm.

The man, from London, was on the bridge, between junctions 2 for Cuxton and 3 for Chatham.
