Police find body in Cobham Woods

Officers searching for a missing man have discovered a body in woodland.

Police cars, forensic vans and an ambulance were seen at Knightsplace Farm Equestrian Centre, Knights Place, Cobham this afternoon.

Officers have been searching for 40-year-old Adam Jarvis, who was reported missing from his home in Rochester last Thursday.

Formal identification has not yet taken place but his family have been informed.

A police spokesman said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will now be prepared for the coroner."

Horse owners were told not to venture into the woods this afternoon, after the discovery.
