Traffic held and queues after police incident on M2 bridge near Rochester

All traffic has been held due to a police incident on the M2.

Officers were called and the road was closed in both directions between J2 A228 Sundridge Hill, Rochester and J3 in Chatham.

Slow traffic remains but all lanes have been re-opened.

Unconfirmed reports suggested a man had been spotted on the bridge and police were called to concerns for his welfare.

But police have not yet confirmed any details about the incident.

Kent Police has been contacted for comment and more information.
