Coronavirus measures and staff shortages hit Miers Court Primary School

All but two year groups at Miers Court Primary School have been told to stay at home due to coronavirus and staff shortages.

An email sent out on Saturday by the school in Silverspot Close, Rainham, said reception class was self isolating and expected to return on Friday November 27 and Year 1 is self isolating and expected to return on Monday November 23.

Meanwhile Year 2 is working from home due to staff shortages, but the school is able to offer places in school for vulnerable children and children of keyworkers. They say there is no need for Year 2 pupils to self isolate and they are expected to return on Monday November 23.

Only Years 3 and 4 remain in the school as normal, with Years 5 and 6 currently self isolating and expected to return on Wednesday November 18.
