Victim assaulted and robbed in Charter Street, Chatham

Police are carrying out house-to-house enquiries after a man was attacked and robbed last night in Chatham.

The victim was assaulted before the crook fled the scene after pinching his cash.

Police are conducting house-to-house enquiries following the incident

Officers say the incident took place around 10.30pm on Friday night in Charter Street.

Police say the suspect is described as black and was seen wearing a grey tracksuit and light blue jumper.

A spokesman for the force said: "Enquiries are ongoing in the area to locate the person responsible, which includes house-to-house calls and the review of all forensic and CCTV opportunities."
