A gang of four allegedly assaulted a man and punched him in the face during a weekend afternoon.

The 32-year-old victim, from Rainham, was in Pump Lane, Rainham, when the attack was said to have happened.

It is thought the men got out of a silver Ford Fiesta at around 3.30pm on Sunday, May 30 and then carried out the assault.

No weapons were used during the attack.

PC Katie Diprose said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.

"We believe that there was a queue of traffic along Pump Lane at the time of the incident so a motorist may have seen the incident take place."

Anyone with information call Kent Police on 01634 792414 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
