Last year's Kids Galore winner winner Marcus Thompson

Is your child the cutest of the lot? Now is your chance to find out by entering them in the Kids Galore 2011 competition.

We are beginning our hunt for this year's sweetest smile, cheekiest grin or most captivating gaze.

This year the prize money has gone up and there's a whopping £4,000 to be won thanks to Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.

It's easy to get involved. Simply fill in the entry form in Monday's Medway Messenger, have a photograph taken and when it's time to vote, send in lots.

Alternatively, you will be able to vote via text - details will be published when voting begins.

Last year, more than 750 cuties entered the competition but there could only be one overall winner and the title went to adorable tot Marcus Thompson, from Gillingham.

We have teamed up with Sittingbourne photographer Melvin Sillcock for this super competition. Photography sessions will be held at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre from Tuesday, February 22 to Friday, February 25 inclusive (during school half-term) and from Thursday, March 3 to Sunday, March 6 inclusive.

Parents will need to call Melvin Sillcock on 01795 431024 to make an appointment for their child's photograph to be taken. Please note that the studio is closed on Thursdays.

An original entry form (no photocopies) must be handed to the photographer at the pre-booked photo session at the Kids Galore 2011 stand outside Marks & Spencer.

The competition is split into four age groups: up to six months; seven to 18 months, 19 months to three years and four to nine years.

Entrants must be in the relevant age group on the day of their appointment with the photographer. A picture of every child will appear in the Medway Messenger and readers will be invited to vote for their favourites.

We will be publishing pictures in the Spring so watch this space to see your child's smile.
