Medway Council to close King Edward Road, Gillingham, to replace gas mains

Temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic will be put into place to enable gas mains to be replaced.

Medway Council has made an order to close King Edward Road, Gillingham, to all traffic between the junction with Grange Road and a point in line with the boundary of property numbers 13/15.

Pedestrians will not be affected and an alternative route will be available for vehicles via Pier Road, Gads Hill, Lower Rainham Road, Plantation Road and Grange Road.

This order will come into force on Monday, January, 25.

The works are programmed for completion within three weeks. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
