Crash on M2 between Strood and Rochester

A multi-vehicle crash blocked two lanes of the M2.

It happened at around 6.40pm on the coastbound carriageway between between junction 1 for Strood and J2 for Rochester.

Two lanes were blocked which led to long traffic queues building up.

Highways England said all lanes reopened at around 7pm, but delays lasted for some time afterwards.

It came after a crash on the motorway near Faversham tonight led to tailbacks all the way to the Sittingbourne turn-off.
