A sinkhole has appeared in a road causing the area to be closed off.

The hole formed in the middle of Cross Street in Gillingham yesterday.

The road has been closed from Gardiner Street to Arden Street.

Medway Council has confirmed works are being carried to amend the problem as quickly as possible.
