A driver has been pulled over by police travelling on the A2 at an astonishing 123mph.

The motorist, described as a young man, was caught near Bexley tonight.

Police said his speed was 'absolutely ridiculous'

A tweet from Kent Police Roads added: "To give you an idea of how fast his vehicle travelled he covered 1.5 miles in 45 seconds, equivalent to almost 25 football pitches.

"No words really. Court appearance in the future for this driver, bye bye licence."
