Stolen baby alpaca reunited with owner

Baby alpaca stolen from Hartlip farm

This baby alpaca was just days from starvation after thieves swiped it from a farm.

The four-day-old alpaca, needs feeding every two hours from its mother, day and night.

But its very survival was threatened when thieves stole it from one of the paddocks on an alpaca farm in Hartlip on Monday.

Now it has been reunited with mum, after being recovered by police in Medway.

They were acting on reports the animal had been spotted.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft and is in custody at Medway Police Station.
