Thai Four Two restaurant in Rochester targeted by people stealing plants

Green-fingered thieves have stolen plants from a display outside a town centre restaurant.

CCTV footage captured by Thai Four Two restaurant in Rochester shows two people snatching the flora from their High Street location.

The first incident happened on Friday, April 3 at 6.25pm.

A man in a hi-vis jacket and hat snatches some of the plants and bundles them into a trolley.

A second incident was captured yesterday morning at 7.30am.

A woman wrapped in a scarf appears with a bag with plants already in it and a child's scooter.

The woman proceeds to take most of the restaurant's remaining plants.

The restaurant, which is closed until further notice amid the coronavirus pandemic, wrote on its Facebook page: "Hopefully anyone would recognise this lady. At least make her aware what she did was wrong.

"As you can see in her bag there are already a few plants in the bag."

Members of staff are planning to report the incident to the police.
