A family-run café in a town centre is up for sale with a leasehold guide price of £25,000.

Ela ‘n Sisters near the Aldi supermarket in Duncan Road, Gillingham, is a ready-made business ideal for somebody looking to kick start a career in catering.

It seats 24 diners, and has a kitchen, cold store area and customer toilet.

For the last five years, it has been run by Hassan Azid and his wife who are now retiring and returning to northern Cyprus.

It offers a Just Eat delivery and take-away service as well as sit-in breakfasts, lunches, sandwiches and drinks.

It is being marketed by Rightmove’s online auction team, with bids starting at £25,000.

A spokesman for the estate agents in Gillingham said there had been interest in the business, which attracts passing shoppers to the town centre.
