Traffic was being held on the coast-bound carriageway of the M2 tonight after an accident.

The collision occurred close to the exit sliproad for J4, the Gillingham turn-off for the A278 Hoath Way.

Emergency services are at the scene.There are no reports of any injuries.

Motorists have been warned to expect delays.
