Traffic lights on M2 slip still out of action

Motorists are facing long delays because traffic lights are out of action at one of Medway’s busiest junctions.

The signals at Taddington Wood roundabout at junction 3 of the M2 have not been working since Monday morning.

According to Kent County Council, the equipment was damaged in a road accident and had to be switched off.

The problem has been causing huge tailbacks, with traffic stacking up on both directions on the motorway.

It has been causing particular problems during rush hour, with some drivers facing half-hour delays at peak times.

A KCC spokesman said: “Warning signs have gone up and we are working to fix the problem as soon as we can.”
