Tragedy struck at Thursday's Will Young concert at Rochester Castle Gardens when a 40-year-old man died.

The man was a crew member and was on stage at about 6pm. It is believed he either collapsed or fell and hit his head.

Police and ambulance were called and the man was taken to hospital where he died.

The concert was delayed by an hour and a half following the incident.

A police statement said the man's family have been informed and a post mortem will take place next week.
