Tributes left to Gillingham woman found dead in her home as police continue to question man on suspicion of murder

Flowers and tributes have been left outside the house where a woman was found dead.

Police were called to Richmond Road, Gillingham, on Thursday and found a 39 year-old woman dead inside her property.

Today, a police cordon remained around the house which is at the junction of Richmond Road and Saunders Street.

Two floral tributes lay beside the house, addressed to a woman named Kelly.

One read: "Miss you so much can't believe it. Love you loads from your cousin Lauren, Michael and two kids.

Another said: "Kelly, you got taken too soon, RIP. Love Mark, Lou, Alfie."

A man in his 30s remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

Eye witnesses reported seeing nine police cars, a van and an ambulance on the scene at around 4.50pm on Thursday afternoon.
