Two television presenters have joined a line up of stars to thank healthcare workers in Medway.

Weekday morning stars Lorraine Kelly and Alison Hammond shared video messages to the critical care team at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.

Brummie TV presenter Alison Hammond, who works on This Morning, said: "What an amazing job you guys are doing, I want you to know I am so proud and grateful for you superheroes, you're just one of a kind risking your own lives for others."

Lorraine Kelly thanked everyone working at the hospital in Windmill Road and sent them a "virtual hug".

The surprise messages were arranged by Medway councillor Dan McDonald.

Other celebrities who have given their thanks to the team at Medway have included Ben Shephard, Holby City's David Ames, and Vicky McClure from Line of Duty.
