Two arrested in Wouldham after helicopter called to assist police chase through Rochester

Two people have been arrested after a high speed chase involving a helicopter.

Officers reported a vehicle failed to stop when requested to do so in the Corporation Street area of Rochester.

A helicopter was called in to assist police pursuing a vehicle which failed to stop in Rochester. (50147569)

A pursuit took place and a police helicopter was called in to assist at around 11am yesterday.

The vehicle is then reported to have stopped in the Peter’s Village area, before the occupants got out and fled on foot.

Police searched the area with the assistance of the National Police Air Service and two people were arrested in Worrall Drive, Wouldham.

A 31-year-old man from Chatham was later bailed to return to the police station on 1 October and a 17-year-old boy from Ryarsh was bailed to September 3.
