Tickets for two shows at this year’s Castle Concerts have sold out.

Fans have snapped up all the tickets to see legendary rockers Status Quo kick off this year’s concerts on Wednesday, July 17.

Quo will be at the Rochester-based gig for the fourth time following performances in 2005, 2008 and 2010.

The second concert to sell out is the 80s Night party featuring Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley, ABC and Go West on Friday, July 19.

Tony Hadley, lead singer of Spandau Ballet, will perform at the Castle Concerts

As lead singer of Spandau Ballet, Hadley has sung countless hits including True, Gold and Through The Barricades. Martin Fry and ABC will be showcasing favourites such as Poison Arrow and All of My Heart, while Go West will get the crowds rocking to their hits including Call Me and We Close Our Eyes.

Tickets are also selling fast for one of Britain’s biggest boy bands, The Wanted, who are set to storm the concerts stage on Thursday, July 18, and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, who will bring a sublime summer evening of classical music to the idyllic setting of the Castle Gardens on Saturday, July 20. This year’s special guests are the Hertfordshire Chorus choir and soprano Laura Wright.

A spokesman for Medway Council said: “Two of this year’s Rochester Castle Concerts have now completely sold out, so anyone looking forward to going along to the other two should book without delay.”

Tickets cost £35 for The Wanted and £30 for the Castle Proms, and are available in person at The Central Theatre Box Office, The Brook Theatre Box Office and Medway Visitor Information Centre, by phone on 01634 338338 or online at www.castleconcerts.co.uk
