Two men charged following alleged robbery at a property in Mercury Close, Rochester

A pair of robbery suspects were due in court today.

Police were called on Thursday evening after reports of money and computer consoles being stolen from a property in Mercury Close, Rochester.

The suspects had left the scene by the time officers arrived, but a short while later two men were arrested on the A2 near Bluewater.

Mahei Ahmed, 29, from London, was charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a Class B drug, driving a vehicle with no license and no insurance.

Mohammed Maow, 26, also from London, was charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a Class B drug.

They were remanded in custody and were due at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
