Van on roof after crash in Deanwood Drive in Parkwood

Drivers were held up on their journey home after an accident which left a white transit van on its side.

A police car, a fire engine, an ambulance car and a land ambulance attended the scene of the crash in Deanwood Drive in Parkwood, near the junction with Hawbeck Road.

It happened at around 5.30pm and fire crews were also initially called.

Police said no serious injuries had been reported.

A spokesman added: "Damage was also caused to a lamppost in the incident."

Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed that one fire engine attended and as no one was trapped, no action was required from the fire service other than to make the scene safe.

It caused long tailbacks in the area.
