Upnor villagers watch caravan cliffhanger on top of Beacon Hill above Lower Upnor

Villagers feared a mobile home would tumble from a cliff near Upnor after a landslide.

The building was left hanging precariously on top of Beacon Hill above Lower Upnor, when bad weather caused some of the cliff edge to fall away.

But there were mixed feelings about the property.

The home has been branded an eyesore in the village and some hoped it might meet its end if further bad weather battered the cliffside over the weekend.

It has now been dragged to safety.
