A woman of 33 has been charged with burglary in connection with an incident in which an elderly man had £200 stolen.

Samantha Jane Fincham, of The Tideway, Rochester, was arrested and charged with the offence on June 2.

Fincham is alleged to have taken the money from the 89-year-old’s address in Leander Road, Rochester on May 17 after gaining access to a block of flats.

She has been released on bail and will next appear at Medway Magistrates Court on June 22.
