Woman freed from taxi crash

A woman had to be cut from a taxi after a crash in Chatham last night.

Firefighters were called to a collision involving two vehicles in Globe Lane at 6.40pm.

Hydraulic rescue equipment was used to get the woman out of the car.

An ambulance was called after she complained of back and neck pain and she was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

The passengers and driver in the other vehicle were all unharmed, as was the taxi driver.

Two fire engines were on the scene for just over an hour.
