A 53-year-old man has appeared in court charged with robbery.

Sean Campion, of no fixed address, is alleged to have threatened a woman in a Chatham shopping centre car park and demanded money from her yesterday.

Police attended the scene and arrested a man nearby.

Campion appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court earlier today and was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday September 26.
