A man has been spotted doing his best Borat impression as he walked through town sporting a green mankini.

The care-free walker was pictured heading down Frindsbury Hill, Strood, last night at around 7.30pm.

Onlookers were shocked by the bearded exhibitionist, but saw the funny side as they took to social media to share pictures of his interesting outfit.

Some compared him to Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen's spoof Kazakhstani journalist character who made the skimpy garment famous in the 2006 hit film.

One woman said: "I saw it and couldn't stop laughing. I thought 'only a Strood person could do this'."

While another person joked: "Legend. Bet he was cooler than most. Best trip to the shop for bread and milk ever."

It's not known yet whether the man was walking in only shoes and the small bit of material for a joke, or if it was to do with the hot weather.

It came as Kent was told to brace for more scorching temperatures this week.
