Gillingham midfielder Charlie Allen has joined Tamworth on a two-month loan deal.

The son of former Gills boss Martin Allen has been unable to force his way into the team under interim manager Peter Taylor.

He joins a Tamworth side who are struggling in 20th place in Skrill Premier with 16 points from 16 games.

His new team-mates at the Lamb Ground include former Gills players Darren Byfield and Jack Evans.
