Chatham Town manager James Collins resigns from the Southern Counties East Premier Division side

Chatham Town are on the hunt for a new manager.

James Collins has quit the club which sits top of the Southern Counties East Premier Division.

A short statement from the club, on twitter, said: “James Collins has resigned as manager of CTFC.

“The club would like to thank James for all his hard work over the last two years in winning two trophies that were the first silverware that the club has secured in 20 years.

“We would like to wish James all the best in the future.”

He leaves Maidstone Road almost exactly two years since taking over as manager of the club.

Chatham won 2-1 at Erith Town on Saturday but lost 1-0 at Hollands & Blair last Wednesday, only their second league defeat of the season. They are due to host Punjab United on Tuesday night.
