Gillingham's players train at the services ahead of their League 1 match against Doncaster Rovers

Gillingham players got in an extra training session before their League 1 clash at Doncaster – on the A1M.

When the team coach pulled over at the services the players couldn’t resist a kick-about.

Bradley Dack, Jake Hessenthaler and Max Ehmer are among the players getting in an impromptu training exercise.

The video, posted by the club’s performance analyst Nick Gearing, made the national sports pages.

Gearing tweeted: "The players can't put the ball away."

Justin Edinburgh’s team travelled north on Friday night, ahead of their weekend clash.

Gillingham are making waves in League 1 this season and head to Doncaster sitting second in the table.
