Gillingham’s youth team are in action at Priestfield tonight.

Mark Patterson’s under-18s take on Corinthian in the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup.

First team boss Justin Edinburgh will be among those in the crowd watching.

He said: “It’s a special competition and it would be good if the kids could get a good run and maybe draw a Championship or Premier League side in the later rounds.

“I’m looking forward to the game. It’s good for the youngsters, they get to play in the stadium, under the lights.

“It is the best (youth team) group we have had since I have been here and I would like to think they have the possibility of having a good little run in the competition.”

The match kicks off at 7.30pm and tickets for the match cost £3 for adults and £1 for concessions (over-65s and under-18s).
