Chatham Town will be hoping to put a dent in the title aspirations of a familiar personality this weekend.

Former Gills boss Mark Stimson has guided his Thurrock team up to second in the Ryman League, Division 1 North table.

And his son and former Gills striker Charlie Stimson will be aiming to add to the eight goals he’s scored this season.

Chatham boss Kevin Watson isn’t concerned with reputations and he’s plotting the downfall of the former Gills duo at Ship Lane on Saturday.

“We go there with nothing to protect,” said Watson, whose side lost 2-1 at Waltham Abbey in midweek.

“We’ve done well against the better sides this season. It all depends what happens on the day and whether the players are up for it. I am sure they will be. We don’t go there with any fear."
