Arsenal’s young defender Zech Medley has moved to the Scottish Premiership after spending the first half of the season with the Gills.

The 20-year-old played 12 league games for the Gills during his four months at the club and will now head north to play for Kilmarnock.

Arsenal's Zech Medley spent the first half of the 2020/21 season with the Gills and will play the remainder in Scotland

Medley, who was raised in Kent and attended the Howard School in Rainham, was unable to hold down a regular place in the Gillingham team during his time back in the county. Along with fellow youngster Trae Coyle, he returned to Arsenal last month.

The Arsenal pair were among a handful of loan players who returned to their parent clubs after spending the first half of the season at Priestfield.

Celtic’s Scott Robertson returned to Scotland but has since signed for Doncaster Rovers while Coventry City’s Declan Drysdale has joined Cambridge United for the remainder of the season.
