Medway Sports Awards

Nominations are already flooding in for Medway’s biennial celebration of sport – the Medway Sports Awards.

From individual and team successes to achievements in the field of officiating, coaching and volunteering, the awards showcase the best of Medway’s sporting community.

It’s been a great 18 months for Medway clubs and athletes. This year’s gala awards evening, which marks their achievements, will take place on Friday, December 12, at Rochester’s Corn Exchange.

There are a total of 11 categories, including a new award recognising achievements in officiating, umpiring or refereeing.

The awards panel will also bestow the honour of a Lifetime Contribution trophy upon one stalwart from Medway’s sporting community, in addition to unveiling a new Medway Sport Hall of Fame, which recognises those from Medway or with a Medway connection whose achievements have put Medway on the map.

To nominate your club, team or coach, or for more information visit www.medway.gov.uk/sportsawards. The closing date for entries is October 31.

The awards are made possible by Medway Council and the generosity of its sponsors. To become an awards sponsor, email medwaysport@medway.gov.uk or call 01634 338135.
