Gillingham have confirmed two trips into Essex during pre-season.
They will play Jamie’s Day’s National League side Braintree Town at the Avanti Stadium on Tuesday, July 19.
Braintree finished third in the league last year and lost to Grimsby in the play-offs.
A day later they will be heading back into Essex to face Ryman League side Billericay Town.
Both games will be first-team fixtures, with boss Justin Edinburgh splitting his squad for the double-header.
Gillingham have already confirmed games against Barnet (July 23), Dartford (July 26) and Leyton Orient (July 30) ahead of the new League 1 season, which kicks off on August 6.
The Gills are also planning a training camp back in Le Touquet.
