Gillingham will face League 1 leaders Bristol City in the first round of the FA Cup.

City were the highest ranked team in the opening round of the competition.

There will be at least one Kent team in round two after Bromley were drawn at home to Vanarama Conference Dartford.

Ryman League Maidstone made it through to round one proper for the first time since 1991. They beat Welling United on Saturday to book their place.

Their reward is a trip to League 2 Stevenage.

Dover made it through to the first round last year but face a replay against Eastbourne Borough this time around, after the pair drew 0-0 on Saturday.

The reward for the winners of the fourth qualifying tie at Crabble is a home game against Morecambe.

Gillingham were knocked out at the first round stage last season by non-league Brackley Town.

They have also lost in recent years to Dover and Burscough. They were beaten by Bristol City in the second round of the FA Cup in the 2006/07 season.

Dartford avoided any slip-ups in qualifying, as they eased past Burgess Hill on Saturday. Their opponents Bromley beat Evesham 2-1 to book their place in the opening round.
