Gillingham owner Brad Galinson was thrilled to see a busy week for the club end with a win.

The Gills beat Salford City 3-1 on Saturday, a day after the long-awaited opening of the club shop.

Mr Galinson was there to greet fans on Friday, for the club shop’s opening, along with first team head coach Stephen Clemence.

The club hosted the Medway Business Awards later that evening and are continuing to attract plenty of events to the Great Hall venue at Priestfield. Radio host Trevor Nelson was at the venue earlier this month for his Soul Nation event.

“Just a perfect week,” said Mr Galinson, posting on X.

“Staff worked so hard to open a new store. Hosted over 500 meals over two nights.

“Team trained hard all week. Last time we scored three in a home league attended game was Dec 2019 I’m told! #ItAllStartsNow.”

The Gills are continuing to try and improve the matchday experience - helped by the team scoring and winning as they did on Saturday.
