It’s game on for Gillingham next weekend.

Their match at Portsmouth was in doubt after their opponents had a trio of players called up for international duty.

Pompey could have called the game off but have decided to play.

Regular keeper Craig MacGillivray was picked by Scotland and Ross McCrorie joined up with the Scottish under-21 side.

Ronan Curtis was also named in the Republic or Ireland squad but has since withdrawn because of injury.

Kenny Jackett’s side have played less games than anyone this season and a club statement said: “With Pompey already having as many as three games in hand on other League One sides, a decision was made to keep the Gillingham match on its original date.”
