Gillingham are hoping that a bug affecting both of their senior left-backs has cleared up by the weekend.

Both Connor Ogilvie and Bradley Garmston were laid low with the bug.

Ogilvie missed training on Tuesday and Garmston pulled out of the session and was also sent home.

“Hopefully they will be all right,” said Gills boss Steve Lovell.

“If not, then we will re-evaluate it and see what we are going to do for Saturday. It’s most probably that it isn’t too serious and they don’t miss out.

"Others can catch it and they weren’t going to do much feeling like that. It is common sense to leave them at home and we hope to have them around again (today) Thursday.”
