New head coach Ady Pennock's homecoming has been delayed by the FA Cup.

Pennock's first game in charge at Priestfield was due to be against AFC Wimbledon but it will need rescheduling for the second time.

The original match was due to take place on Saturday, January 7 but Dons’ FA Cup third round trip to Sutton United took precedence.

Both clubs then agreed to Tuesday, January 17 as an alternative but that is no longer possible as Wimbledon drew 0-0 with Sutton and they will now meet again next week in the replay.

Pennock's first home game in charge of Gills is now due to be on Saturday, January 28 when they host Shrewsbury.
