Ambitious Holcombe have boosted their men’s squad with four new signings.

The latest is Scottish international Dan Coultas, who played for Cannock in the Premier Division last season.

Holcombe first team manager Ken Martin said: “Dan is a midfield/forward who scores lots of goals, especially from penalties as he is an expert drag flicker.”

Coultas’ signing follows the acquisition last week of Gareth Andrew and David Appleton, who played for Holcombe in their last two successful indoor campaigns and who have now joined the club permanently from the City of Peterborough.

Holcombe’s fourth new addition is 21-year-old forward Harry Trusler, who last season was a regular goalscorer for Upminster in the East Premier League.

Martin added: “After going so close to winning promotion to the Premier Division last season, we are determined to do it next season and all these new signings reflect that.”

Holcombe have also promoted two other young players to their first team squad from within the club in the form of Tom Davies, a 22-year-old defender, and goalkeeper Andrew Perkins, 20.

However, Holcombe have lost Olly Clark who has been posted by the Army to Yorkshire, while Sam Lund has decided to take a year out because of injury and Matt Baker is concentrating on his university studies.
