Three Gillingham players are nearing recovery from injury but this weekend might come too soon.

Bradley Dack and Scott Wagstaff are both back doing training drills while Bradley Garmston is a little further behind.

The Gills travel to Scunthorpe on Saturday aiming to maintain their unbeaten start in League 1.

Boss Justin Edinburgh, updating the injury situation, said: “Wagstaff and Dack are progressing well.

“Bradley Garmston is a bit slower but it was a more severe injury (dislocated kneecap). We’re positive, they are improving and that is all you can ask for.”

Just like the Gills, Scunthorpe have started the season well, winning two and drawing one of their opening three games.

Edinburgh said: “They had a good end to last season under Graham Alexander and have continued that this year. It’s another tough encounter but we know they all are.”
