Striker Liam Nash is “buzzing” to be back at the Gills after being recalled from loan.

Nash, 21, was in the second month of his loan spell with Bostik Premier side Leatherhead.

He scored six goals in nine games – including a hat-trick against Wingate & Finchley - while at the Surrey side.

Gills boss Steve Lovell sent Nash out on loan as he wasn’t featuring in the senior squad.

Since joining in the summer from Maldon & Tiptree, Nash has played nine times, but is still awaiting his first goal for the Gills.

Nash tweeted: “Thanks Leatherhead for my loan spell, all the best for the season.

“Buzzing to be called back at the Gills. Looking forward to getting back out tomorrow with the boys.”

He returns ahead of the game against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday and the New Year’s Day match at Charlton.
