Emmanuel Osadebe has left the Gills with a parting shot.

The midfielder is the second player to have announced his departure from the club and left with a twitter message.

He tweeted: “Enjoyed and learned a lot over my two years at Gills, well one and a half lol.

“Thankful to all the fans who have been in support of me from the start.

“Shared some great moments and will forever be thankful to the loyal fans. Only the beginning and happy with God’s plan.”

The 20-year-old was signed by former boss Justin Edinburgh, on the recommendation from assistant David Kerslake. He had been a college student on the Tottenham Hotspur foundation programme.

He made 21 appearances in his first season, including a memorable first goal, running from deep inside his own half to score against Bury in a 3-1 win.

The Irishman made another 31 appearances this season but just three starts during Pennock’s four-month reign.

His departure follows that of defender Mitchell Dickenson.

There are 12 out of contract players at the club and more are sure to follow him out of the Priestfield exit door.
