Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish blames players' commitment for not winning title

Angry head coach Kevin Parrish has criticised the slack changing-room culture which he believes cost Invicta Dynamos the league title this season.

The Mos had to watch Chelmsford lift the NIHL South Division 1 trophy on Sunday after losing to the Chieftains in Essex.

But Parrish, who said some of his players had “taken breaks” in the middle of the season, believes the title race was lost away from the ice.

He said: “I know the guys only get a little bit of cash for their expenses but I’d be committed for the whole season.

"I wouldn’t leave my team-mates, knowing we were pushing for the title.Every weekend is crucial and we’ve dropped points when we haven’t had a full squad.

“It starts from simple things. Guys turning up on a Sunday not wearing a shirt and tie. Guys turning up for away games not wearing their tracksuits. Guys turning up late. As far as I’m concerned, lateness breeds laziness and it all starts from that."
