Hollands & Blair manager Simon Halsey has been handed a four-match stadium ban.

Halsey was sent from the dugout for foul and abusive language during Blair’s defeat by Corinthian last December.

He started the suspension last weekend when Blair beat AFC Croydon 4-1 in Southern Counties East, having been kept waiting by the Kent FA.

“The ban’s only just come through, it’s ridiculous,” said Halsey. “I have to watch from outside the ground now, which I have done.

“I won’t try and sneak in, there’s no moustache and glasses! I wouldn’t do that and risk another ban.

“I spoke to the referee before the Croydon game and explained I was banned. He wasn’t even aware of it.”

Halsey was named Southern Counties East manager-of-the-month after an unbeaten January but begins February watching his side through a fence.

It’s frustrating but he knows the team are in safe hands with assistant manager Luke Harvey and coach Damien Hodge.

“They got on with it,” said Halsey. “We had a meeting before the game and off they went. They’re more than capable of taking the games.”

Blair visit K Sports this Saturday with their opponents on a high after thrashing Erith & Belvedere 7-0 last weekend.

Recent signings Sam Jones and Mehmet Piro could feature after making their debuts from the bench against AFC Croydon.

Halsey said: “Sam did his ACL at Tonbridge and has been out for a year doing his rehab. He’s a player with pedigree and it was good to see him get 25/30 minutes.

“He can play up top, in the hole or to the right. Hopefully he’ll be a good addition.

“Mehmet’s a left-winger we’ve got from Greenwich and he’s another one who can do well for us.”
