Chatham host Redbridge on Saturday, having lost three of their last four games and conceded 11 goals in the process.

Boss Kevin Watson said: “We had the desire and hunger and the team ethic but we still didn’t get three points.

"We need to sustain those things and get three points from our next game. We need a win but we’re not far away.”

Watson was boosted by his team's performance in a 2-2 draw at Ware on Tuesday in Ryman League Division 1 North - on the back of last Saturday's FA Cup exit at the hands of Whyteleafe - despite playing with 10 men for 75 minutes following Kane Phillip's red card.

He said: “I can’t fault the effort but I still think it’s an opportunity lost in terms of having a hold on the game at 2-0. If you come back from that, you come away feeling buoyant but it feels like we had three points in our hands and they’ve been taken away from us.”

Jamie Taylor (groin) returns for Chatham this weekend but Luke Medley (toe) is a doubt.
