An airport will be the venue of an all-night party when a string of award-winning DJs and artists perform - including garage legends So Solid Crew.

Connected Festival will take place overnight at the grounds of the small airport, with drum and bass music playing from 6pm until 6am the following morning.

More than 10,000 ravers are expected to attend the festival, being held on Saturday, October 5, and will watch more than 100 acts play over four stages.

The first roll out of artists scheduled to play have now been announced.

The line up for the Connected main stage includes British DJ and record producer Andy C, a pioneering force in the drum and bass genre.

He has previously won the Best DJ title in the Drum and Bass Arena Awards, and has ranked number four on Mixmag's Who is the Greatest DJ of All Time list.

Shy FX, who specialises in drum and bass and jungle music, and DJ Zinc, originally known for his hip hop/jungle fusion, are also set for the main stage along with Stamina MC and Harriet Jaxxon.

Garage, grime and hip hop group So Solid Crew will headline the Garage Nation stage, including performances from members Harvey, Romeo and Lisa Maffia.

The British garage, grime and hip hop group - which expanded from 19 initial members to 30 - is best known for its first single 21 Seconds.

The #RCFF stage will see performances from Shades of Rhythm, Micky Finn, Top Buzz, and more.

The next line up of artists scheduled to play is expected to be released later in the month.

A host of food and drink stalls will also be available for party-goers.

The festival will not include a camp site, so attendees are advised: "If you are looking to stay overnight after the festival there are hotels, B&Bs and campsites that can be found near the festival location."

Ticket prices start at £35.
